The Blue Mile

If you want to walk a mile in Wollongong’s shoes, this waterfront promenade is where it’s at. Stretching from North Beach to the Harbour, the Blue Mile is the perfect place for walking, cycling, swimming or jogging.

This much-loved section of our coastline has spectacular views, shared pathways and parks, plus plenty of places to eat or be entertained. From coffee to fine dining, it’s all available on the Blue Mile.

The Blue Mile area has always been an area for social activity beginning with swimming in its natural ocean baths, before moving to the continental pool and north beach, known also for its surfing traditions.
